WASHINGTON - Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, architect of an unpopular war in Iraq, is resigning after six stormy years at the Pentagon, President Bush said Wednesday.
Bush said Robert Gates, former head of the CIA under the first President Bush, would be tapped to replace Rumsfeld.

I watched most of it, the combo of him and Stewart. They were cracking each other up.

The only move the Republican party has left in a chance at retaining the White House.
Which i think will not happen.
And i don't vote one party or the other. Just think all folks including many Republicans are tired with hearing Stay the Course in Iraq and with many of their own.
We have never been stay the course, we think outside the bun.
Colbert is hilarious
I feel like it really depends on who runs.
Anyone tied to Bush will lose. Far and away. A moderate like McCain needs to run.
On the other hand, the Democrats can still botch it up. Ex. Running Hillary. I think there will be some serious "Martha Stewart syndrome" backlash if she runs. Obama is a good guy but I think he's still a little young. Not really sure who the Dems will get. Maybe Gov Warner? He would have a good shot I believe.
